Spotlight Series Issue 17 | Priya Shah

Each month, we go in depth with the dynamic women who inspire us to create.

Meet this month’s spotlight: Priya Shah, in her own words.

Priya is a true multi-hyphenate. Her passion for art and travel led her to founding a non-profit called The Simple Good, which exists to connect the meaning of good from around the world – and empower our youth to become positive activists through art and discussion.

You may also spot her in a print ad or two as she spends her free time as a model, promoting inclusive and diverse representation. She is also the producer on the upcoming documentary, Building Hope, documenting the journey of spreading art and resilience from Chicago to East Africa.

Special thanks to  Sarah Kammerer for the beautiful photography for this spotlight!

Priya is wearing the Viveka top, Maeko skirt, Avenger belt, Watson jacket, Roots t-shirt, Gabi skirt, Shakti coat, and Neela 2  pants.

In her own words

What do you love and/or appreciate about being a woman?

I love the female intuition - it is our inherent power that has moved the world towards the better.

How do you create a work-life balance for yourself?

This is a tough question for any entrepreneur with a purpose, but taking time to sit in gratitude for the privilege and honor to serve others helps put the hustle in perspective and reinvigorates me to keep going.

What is important to you when it comes to buying clothing?

Comfort, quality and clothes that are easy to travel with are all important factors when I buy clothing. I think my casual and going-out style has come closer together and typically find myself wearing clothes I can work in and transition into an evening event.

What do you love about M2057?

I love the fact that the collections are all about making every woman’s figure feel comfortable and stylish - no matter their shape or style. It’s so versatile that you can wear it for so many occasions.

What wisdom would you tell your younger self?

To dream big and that everything will be okay.
