Maria's Styling Notes
This season I was very inspired by the square, and I manipulated the shape in several different designs. What appeals to me about Lula is how you can take a series of squares—emblems of strength, solidity, and symmetry—and combine them to create something fluid and elegant. I like that Lula has a grace and ease-of-wear that belies her origins—a series of large-scale, hard-edged squares! design that  here is so much you can do with this dress, it's one of my favorites of the new collection. Made from two fabric circles and four well-placed seams, the deceptively simple design creates beautiful shapes that drape the body and unfold into unexpected but flattering silhouettes. Wear it loose, wear it belted, wear it as a tunic with tights or skinny pants—Clara will be your go-to dress that no one will guess is your go-to dress.Composed of a series of squares, large in scale and cut in Crepe (a drapey fluid fabric) this design has a relaxed elegance of the 1920’s.

Styling Lula could not be easier. Simply throw her over a mini or skinnies—the key is balancing out her volume with something more slender on the bottom. I like the flow that comes from wearing her loose, but don't be afraid to add a belt to define your waist—it completely changes the outfit!
